The digital camera has come a long way, in the world of Consumer Electronics. Where both still and video cameras used to be cumbersome and difficult to operate, you now have The Flip - a mini digital video recorder by Pure Digital Techologies. The Flip is easy to operate, small enough to fit in your pocket and, most importantly, makes crisp, clear video images. Every model also has a USB connector, that allows you to plug the unit directly into your computer. The Flip has two model types, the Mino and the Ultra, both of which have standard and HD options.

Flip Mino & Flip Mino HD
The Flip Mino has two gigabytes of internal memory for 60 minutes of recording time and a video resolution of 640 x 480. The Flip Mino HD has four gigabytes of internal memory, for 60 minutes of recording time and the video resolution is 128 x 720. Both the Mino and Mino HD have a 1.5-inch diagonal display screen with a resolution of 528 x 132. They also both come with an internal lithium ion rechargeable battery. The Mino has up to four hours of use, and the HD model has two hours, between charges. The Mino and Mino HD are both customizable - you can pick images from their design gallery or upload your own.

Flip Ultra & Flip Ultra HD
The Flip Ultra has four gigabytes of internal memory, for 120 minutes of recording time, and a video resolution of 640 x 480. The Flip Ultra HD has eight gigabytes of internal memory, for 120 minutes of recording time, and a video resolution of 128 x 720. Both models have a 2-inch diagonal display screen with a resolution of 960 x 240. Both models use AA batteries or an optional, rechargeable, battery pack. The Ultra model provides four-and-a-half hours of use, between charges, and the Ultra HD model provides two-and-a-half hours of use. The Ultra models are not customizable but the standard Ultra does come in white, yellow, pink or black.
