How to Buy a LCD TV

LCD TVs are all the rage. Here are three key questions to ask yourself before you run out and buy one.
1. Which one?
There are a ton of LCD TVs on the market today. How to tell the difference between them all? Consider the screen size, the quality of the picture, what features come with the television and the overall value. For a quick comparison guide, check out: www.lcdtvbuyingguide.com
2. Do I have the room?
An important aspect of the LCD technology is the fixed pixel. If you look at the screen up close, you can actually see the individual pixels. Because of this, it is very important to consider the size of the room where you will install your LCD television. How far you sit from the screen will greatly affect your experience. The suggested seating distance depends on the size of the TV: 20in-27in screens need a distance of 2.5ft-5ft; 32in-37in screens need a distance of 6ft-8ft; 42in-46in screens need a distance of 10ft-14ft; 50in screens need a distance of 12ft-16ft.
3. How do I want to use it?
Will you be using your LCD TV for television only? LCD televisions accept a wide range of video inputs, and can be used to reproduce high definition TV, video, and can even function as computer monitors. Deciding how you mainly want to use your LCD television can help you choose whether to even get a LCD television or what additional components you will want your LCD TV to possess.
LCD TVs are fairly inexpensive today and buying the right one doesn’t have to be difficult. Let the questions above be your guide.
