The Denver Broncos (From Chicago)(7-9)Selection: Inside Linebacker, Rolando McClain,AlabamaAndra Davis is going to be 31 when this season is over. While he may not be ready to call it quits, McDaniels knows how important linebackers are.McClain will be picked to eventually take-over for Andra Davis in the middle of a strong Denver defense.NFL Comparison: Keith BrookingPotential: Overall: 79 16. The Dallas Cowboys (8-8)Selection: Wide Receiver, Brandon LaFell,Louisiana StateWhile I believe the Cowboys, in this scenario, should take Greg Hardy to replace linebacker Anthony Spencer, I also know how much Jerry Jones loves Tony Romo. After another disappointing season, Jones will buy Romo another weapon.NFL Comparison: Jericho CotcheryPotential: Overall: 76 17. The San Diego Chargers (8-8)Selection: Inside Linebacker, Brandon Spikes,FloridaThere are no holes in the Chargers' lineup. The Chargers are probably the most talented team in the league. But they never seem to live up to potential.Rumors are flying, once again, that pro-bowler Shawne Merriman will be on the move.It appears that Merriman won't be a Charger by the time the draft comes around, so the Charger's linebackers will be thin.Spikes is a solid choice at 17.NFL Comparison: Takeo SpikesPotential:Overall: 76 18. The Pittsburgh Steelers (8-8)Selection: Outside Linebacker, Navarro Bowman,Penn StateAfter a disappointing season for Mike Tomlin's Pittsburgh Steelers, Tomlin will be urged to make a statement pick.Bowman will probably be asked to move to the inside, where he will be groomed to take over for the aging James Farrior.Bowman is about 6'1", 240 pounds. He has great size, and could play any of the linebacker positions.NFL Comparison: Shaun PhillipsPotential: Overall: 75 19.
Robinson will probably be asked to be the nickel corner his rookie season.NFL Comparison: Marcus TrufantPotential: Overall: 75 20. The Cincinnati Bengals (8-8)Selection: Wide Receiver, Arrelious Benn,IllinoisAfter a promising start, but a not-so-great ending, Marvin Lewis, with his job saved, will call upon Carson Palmer to lead him to the playoffs in what will be labeled his "final chance."Lewis will draft Benn in hopes of giving Carson Palmer more fire-power.When Carson is healthy, he is among the best, so with a receiver like Benn lining up on the other side of the talented Chad Ochocinco, he could be putting up career numbers.NFL Comparison: Dwayne BowePotential: Overall: 77 21. The Arizona Cardinals (9-7)Selection: Tight End, Jermaine Gresham,OklahomaGresham was projected to be a top 15 pick at the tight-end position a season ago. Gresham has since lost his entire season to injury. He will probably be a projected second round pick, come April. The Cardinals aren't stupid enough to pass on yet another weapon. With Fitzgerald, Boldin, Breaston, and Gresham, it will be hard for Matt Leinart to fail whenever he gets the team back from Kurt Warner.NFL Comparison: Antonio GatesPotential: 1/2Overall: 81 22.

The New York Jets (9-7)Selection: Outside linebacker, Greg Hardy,MississippiThe Jets are weak on the outside. They list Vernon Gholston, Bryan Thomas, and Marques Murrell as outside linebackers.Hardy could start on the outside day one for Rex Ryan, and even if linebacker wasn't the plan coming into the draft, Ryan would make the pick if Hardy slipped to him.NFL Comparison: LaMaar WoodleyPotential: 1/2Overall: 80 23. The San Fransisco 49ers (9-7)Selection: Quarterback, Tony Pike,CincinnatiAlthough he will be listed as a second round projected talent, Mike Singletary won't let the 6'6" Pike slip by.The 49ers have had QB problems since Jeff Garcia left town, and Pike is just the man to stop all of that.Pike is a strong leader that will buy into Mike Singletary's system.Although, he will need a lot of work before he is the starter.NFL Comparison: Ben RoethlisbergerPotential: Overall: 70 24. The Philadelphia Eagles (10-6)Selection:Outside Linebacker, Sergio Kindle,TexasThe Eagles are weak at linebacker, and it will probably be their downfall. Kindle would likely be used in packages his rookie season for the Eagles, but is versatile enough to provide depth at every linebacker position. Above all, Kindle is a class-act, and his good deeds are something that could help a dipping Eagles' public status.NFL Comparison: Rocky McIntosh.Potential: Overall: 76 25.
The Atlanta Falcons (10-6)Selection: Offensive Tackle, Bryan Bulaga,IowaThe Falcons could use some depth on the offensive line, to continue their quest to make Matt Ryan an elite-level players.Bulaga is a monster at 6'5", over 300 pounds. He is a solid tackle on either side of the ball, and he is probably more formidable then Tyson Clabo.NFL Comparison: Tony PashosPotential: 1/2 Overall: 76 27. The Baltimore Ravens (11-5)Selection:Wide Receiver, Damian Williams,Southern CalBy next April, I expect Derrick Mason to be retired. With the way Mark Clayton catches (heh heh heh), I see the Ravens desperate for other options for Joe Flacco. With Williams being the best option available, he is the obvious choice.NFL Comparison: Chris ChambersPotential: Overall: 75 28. The Seattle Seahawks (From Denver) (11-5)Selection:Running Back, C J. Spiller,ClemsonWith Edgerrin James past the hill, young Julius Jones will need help.Jones has looked like a stud for the Seahawks, but he cannot carry the ball five-hundred times a season. The Seahawks will once again wait to draft Matt Hasselback's eventual replacement. Spiller will do very well behind Julius Jones for a few years, before becoming the No.
